Himalayan Chamomile

Our Chamomile consists of hand-picked, whole golden blossoms grown in the crisp air of the Kumaon Himalayas. Unlike the “dust” found in commercial tea bags, our flowers are kept intact to preserve their potent essential oils and delicate floral honey notes. Each batch is dried using our solar dryers, which protect the flowers from UV damage and moisture, ensuring they retain their vibrant yellow centers and soothing properties.

Cultivation & Sourcing

We cultivate our Chamomile in the high-altitude fields of Sunderkhal, where the cool nights and sunny days create the perfect stress for the plant to produce high-quality oils. In line with our FARMSTEL community model, we also source blossoms from fellow small-scale farmers in the Mukteshwar region. Every flower is hand-sorted and packed without any additives, ensuring a “Seed-to-Cup” journey that is 100% transparent.

Traditional Use

Chamomile has been a cornerstone of traditional wellness for generations, prized for its “gentle power.”

  • • Sleep & Relaxation: Traditionally brewed as a nightcap to calm the nervous system and prepare the body for deep, restorative sleep.
  • Digestive Comfort: Used in mountain households to soothe upset stomachs, reduce bloating, and ease tension-related indigestion.
  • Skin Soothing: Historically applied as a cool compress to calm skin irritations, redness, and puffiness.

How to Use

  • The Perfect Infusion: Steep 5-6 whole flowers in a cup of hot water (not boiling) for 4-5 minutes. Cover the cup while steeping to keep the aromatic oils from escaping. Pair with a teaspoon of our Raw Himalayan Honey.
  • Relaxing Face Steam: Add a small handful of flowers to a bowl of steaming water. Drape a towel over your head and breathe in the floral vapor to soothe both your skin and your mind.
  • Calming Bath: Place a handful of flowers in a muslin bag and hang it under the warm running water of your bath for a spa-like, tension-releasing soak.
  • Skin Tonic: Once brewed and cooled, use the infusion as a gentle facial toner to soothe sensitive or sun-exposed skin.
